CUCM 8 release

I'm sure we are all anticipating the release of CUCM 8.x (Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.x) as well as the reset of the 8.x releases in the Unified Communications product suite. Once I pass my CCIE Voice Lab, then I will get some more info on here about CUCM 8. One item that always sticks out in my mind is the fact that the Attendant Console is being completely taken out and the Attendant Console clients will no longer work. They will be forced to upgrade to the new CUDAC or CUBAC (Cisco Unified Department/Business Attendant Console) or even the Enterprise version. There are all separate servers. I know there are a lot of people out there running many AC clients that won't like to buy another server, Windows OS license, and the price tag on the new Attendant Console.

UCCX Estimated Wait Time

Ever had a customer ask about the estimated wait time calculation that UCCX and IPCC uses? ((CallsQNow + 1) * AHTto5) / Max (Agents Talking [OR] Ready) * CallsQNow is a count of the current calls in queue for the service at the peripheral. * +1 is used to indicate a call that can be potentially added to the queue. * AHTto5 is defined as the average handle time (in seconds) for calls to the service during the current five-minute interval. AHTto5 is a “rolling” five-minute average (from now, and for the most recent five minutes), and is calculated in real-time. The value for AHT is calculated as: HandleTimeTo5 / CallsHandledTo5 * HandleTime is tracked only for inbound ACD calls that are counted as handled for the service. HandleTime refers to the total time spent on a call. Therefore, HandleTime is the total call duration, from the time the agent answered the call to the time the agent completed the after-call work. -Create a file called List.xml with the following format in the contents of the file: -The List.xml filename is Case-Sensitive and it starts with a big L! There can be up to 50 entries in a List file. The List.xml has to be done per phonetype. -Create 2 background images: tn-filename.png is the thumbnail image that will appear when making your background selection - must be 80 pixels (width) x 49 pixels (height).
