IP Phone Background Images

-Create a file called List.xml with the following format in the contents of the file:

-The List.xml filename is Case-Sensitive and it starts with a big L! There can be up to 50 entries in a List file. The List.xml has to be done per phonetype.

-Create 2 background images:

tn-filename.png is the thumbnail image that will appear when making your background selection - must be 80 pixels (width) x 49 pixels (height). (look at the values below for specifics!)filename.png is the actual image that will appear on the phone display, must be 320 pixels (width) x 196 pixels (height). (look at the values below for specifics!)

-You can create these 2 files using the freeware tool ImRe at http://www.vcsoftwares.com/ImRe.html.

-Upload the file "List.xml" to the tftp folder, directory "Desktops/320x196x4" (look at the values below for specifics!)-

Upload the files tn-filename.png and filename.png to the folder "Desktops/320x196x4". (look at the values below for specifics!)

-Restart TFTP service in CUCM Serviceability.

-Enable Phone Personalization on the phone, then reset the phone. You should now see the selections available when choosing a background image for your phone.

The following is a list of phone models with the image attribute requirementsand the directory you must upload them to in CUCM.

7941 / 7961
Full size image— 320 pixels (width) X 196 pixels (height).
Thumbnail image— 80 pixels (width) X 49 pixels (height).
